Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 350.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 376.00 (€ 642.69). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benjamin Robert Haydon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Heracles and Persephone in December 2000 with an auction result of GBP 25,850.00 (€ 41,178.82).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 350,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 376,00 (€ 642,69) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Benjamin Robert Haydon erzielen.
