In January 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Collection of A. Alfred Taubman: Old Masters, which included the work Venice, A View Of The Grand Canal Looking East From The Campo Di San Vio, To The Left The Palazzo Correr by Bernardo Bellotto. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,010,000.00 (€ 2,778,803.55), 51% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Bernardo Bellotto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View of Verona with the Ponte delle Navi in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 10,575,000.00 (€ 12,401,380.23).

Im Januar 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Collection of A. Alfred Taubman: Old Masters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Venice, A View Of The Grand Canal Looking East From The Campo Di San Vio, To The Left The Palazzo Correr von Bernardo Bellotto zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.010.000,00 (€ 2.778.803,55) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bernardo Bellotto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View of Verona with the Ponte delle Navi im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.575.000,00 (€ 12.401.380,23).
