Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Gravy Train by Bharti Kher was auctioned at Christies in New York in September this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 200,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 226,800.00 (€ 214,285.71). Admittedly, works by Bharti Kher have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Skin Speaks A Language Not Its Own in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,785,000.00 (€ 1,374,345.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Gravy Train von Bharti Kher kam im September diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 200.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 226.800,00 (€ 214.285,71) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bharti Kher auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Skin Speaks A Language Not Its Own im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.785.000,00 (€ 1.374.345,55).
