Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Conjunction by Biren De for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,308.31). This price was achieved in the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Biren De achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work September '73 in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 67,661.49).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Conjunction von Biren De für USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.308,31) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Biren De erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit September '73 im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 67.661,49).
