Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Play Balls by Blessing Ngobeni was sold in the Modern & Contemporary African Art auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 6,614.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Other works by Blessing Ngobeni have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2021 the work Violent History, 2018 was auctioned for EUR 8,808.00.

Die Arbeit Play Balls von Blessing Ngobeni wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.760,00 (€ 6.614,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Blessing Ngobeni konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2021 die Arbeit Violent History, 2018 für EUR 8.808,00 versteigert.
