Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Praying Lady by Boi Tran was sold in the Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art Online auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 25,000.00 – 45,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 28,050.00 (€ 3,120.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Boi Tran - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sourie, which sold at auction in June 2021 for EUR 11,875.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Praying Lady von Boi Tran wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art Online bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 25.000,00 – 45.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 28.050,00 (€ 3.120,17) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Boi Tran mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sourie beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für EUR 11.875,00 versteigert wurde.
