Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Brett Whiteley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Opera House in May 2007 with an auction result of AUD 2,880,000.00 (€ 1,770,858.54).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 58.750,00 (€ 32.520,72) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 31%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Brett Whiteley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian Opera House im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 2.880.000,00 (€ 1.770.858,54).
