Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2002 Christies in Rome held the auction ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO - 19TH CENTURY ART, which included the work Le gardenie, 1936 by Bruno Croatto. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,340.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bruno Croatto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roma, la Via Appia, 1941, which sold at auction in November 2002 for EUR 9,300.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2002 führte Christies in Rom die Auktion ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO - 19TH CENTURY ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le gardenie, 1936 von Bruno Croatto zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.340,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Bruno Croatto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Roma, la Via Appia, 1941 beobachtet, die im November 2002 für EUR 9.300,00 versteigert wurde.
