Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2001 Christies in Singapore held the auction IMPORTANT SOUTHEAST ASIAN PICTURES, which included the work Nude Cheo actors by Bui Xuan Phai. Here, the upper estimate of SGD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for SGD 8,812.50 (€ 5,480.82). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bui Xuan Phai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Houses in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,625,000.00 (€ 171,775.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2001 führte Christies in Singapur die Auktion IMPORTANT SOUTHEAST ASIAN PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nude Cheo actors von Bui Xuan Phai zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von SGD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für SGD 8.812,50 (€ 5.480,82) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bui Xuan Phai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Houses im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.625.000,00 (€ 171.775,05).
