In April 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work Watering the garden by Camille Félix Bellanger for USD 9,400.00 (€ 10,592.74). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Nineteenth Century European Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Camille Félix Bellanger have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Brunette in September 2018 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 67,387.71).
