Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 646.25 (€ 1,028.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by John Duncan King have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Coastal View in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,605.15).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 646,25 (€ 1.028,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Duncan King auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Coastal View im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.605,15).
