In the 19th Century European Art Including Ottomans & Orientalists auction, the work The Love Letter sold for GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,126.47) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Carl Herpfer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Evening's Entertainment in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 160,000.00 (€ 171,526.59).

In der Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Ottomans & Orientalists wurde die Arbeit The Love Letter für GBP 26.400,00 (€ 39.126,47) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Herpfer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Evening's Entertainment im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 160.000,00 (€ 171.526,59).
