In May 2012 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters & British Paintings, which included the work A stormy seascape with Dutch shipping being wrecked off the coast by Carlo Antonio Tavella. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 16,250.00 (€ 20,246.79), 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlo Antonio Tavella - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paesaggi Con Figure, which sold at auction in June 2010 for EUR 63,100.00.

Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen

Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters & British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A stormy seascape with Dutch shipping being wrecked off the coast von Carlo Antonio Tavella zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 20.246,79) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Carlo Antonio Tavella mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paesaggi Con Figure beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für EUR 63.100,00 versteigert wurde.
