Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Pietà by Carlo Ceresa was auctioned at Il Ponte in October this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 5,500.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlo Ceresa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Vision Of Saint Eustace, With A Portrait Of The Donor Beside His Horse in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 75,678.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Pietà von Carlo Ceresa im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 5.500,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 5.000,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlo Ceresa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Vision Of Saint Eustace, With A Portrait Of The Donor Beside His Horse im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 75.678,86).
