Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Andromeda by Carlo Francesco Nuvolone was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,964.24) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlo Francesco Nuvolone - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lot And His Daughters; Neptune And Amphitrite, which sold at auction in January 2014 for USD 68,750.00 (€ 50,925.93).
