The work The Café Performance by Carlo Wostry was sold in the American Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 19,200.00 (€ 17,601.76), 60% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Carlo Wostry; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Drei Marokkanerinnen. sold at auction in March 2007 with the realized price of CHF 39,600.00 (€ 24,416.15).

Die Arbeit The Café Performance von Carlo Wostry wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion American Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 19.200,00 (€ 17.601,76) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Carlo Wostry; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Drei Marokkanerinnen. im März 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von CHF 39.600,00 (€ 24.416,15).
