Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two works: i. Quijote ii. La maravilla (La conversación) by Carlos Garaicoa was sold in the Latin America auction at Phillips in New York in May 2016. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,225.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlos Garaicoa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (from the series New Architectures), which sold at auction in September 2010 for USD 56,250.00 (€ 41,357.25).

Die Arbeit Two works: i. Quijote ii. La maravilla (La conversación) von Carlos Garaicoa wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Latin America bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.225,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Carlos Garaicoa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (from the series New Architectures) beobachtet, die im September 2010 für USD 56.250,00 (€ 41.357,25) versteigert wurde.
