It achieved a price of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,566.94), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil Beaton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Audrey Hepburn as Eliza Doolittle, 1963 in September 2017 with an auction result of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 106,360.58).

Die Arbeit Mrs. Charles James, 1955 von Cecil Beaton kam im Dezember 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.566,94) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cecil Beaton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Audrey Hepburn as Eliza Doolittle, 1963 im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 106.360,58).
