Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision, which included the work Arlequín (Harlequin With A Flower) by Celso Lagar. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 42,500.00 (€ 59,511.00), 21% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Celso Lagar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hommage à Guynemer, which sold at auction in November 2012 for EUR 145,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision durch, in der auch die Arbeit Arlequín (Harlequin With A Flower) von Celso Lagar zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 42.500,00 (€ 59.511,00) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Celso Lagar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hommage à Guynemer beobachtet, die im November 2012 für EUR 145.000,00 versteigert wurde.
