The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,738.25), 67% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by César Manrique - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Creciendo, which sold at auction in October 2006 for EUR 21,600.00.

Die Arbeit Pintura No. 61 von César Manrique wurde im Juli 2011 in der Auktion The Duarte Pinto Coelho Collection From the distinguished decorator's houses in Madrid and Trujillo, Spain bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.738,25) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von César Manrique mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Creciendo beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für EUR 21.600,00 versteigert wurde.
