Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Christies in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, Part II, which included the work Leyla Fawzy by Chant Avedissian. The price achieved of GBP 6,300.00 (€ 7,300.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chant Avedissian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Icons Of The Nile in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,565,000.00 (€ 1,188,487.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Leyla Fawzy von Chant Avedissian zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.300,00 (€ 7.300,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chant Avedissian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Icons Of The Nile im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.565.000,00 (€ 1.188.487,24).
