Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles A. A. Dellschau could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important American Furniture, Folk Art, Silver, Prints and auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 8,365.00 (€ 6,717.80) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles A. A. Dellschau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Long Tour Aero Cod (Double Sided), 1919, which sold at auction in January 2016 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,771.79).
