Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Portrait of A Young Gentleman of The Halsey Family, Three-Quarter-Length, In A Green Coat And Hat With A Pink Cloak, Holding A Bow In His Left Hand, In A Landscape, Feigned Oval by Charles d'Agar was sold in the BRITISH PICTURES 1500-1850 auction at Christies in London in November 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,577.71) could thus just exceed the lower estimate.
