Auction result misses estimated price range
In July this year a collector was able to acquire the work The bird's nest; Feeding chicks, a pair by Charles Edward Wilson for GBP 960.00 (€ 1,120.03). This price was achieved in the auction British and European Art at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Edward Wilson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Home Sweet Home in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 15,600.00 (€ 23,149.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The bird's nest; Feeding chicks, a pair von Charles Edward Wilson für GBP 960,00 (€ 1.120,03) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and European Art bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Edward Wilson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Home Sweet Home im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.600,00 (€ 23.149,62).
