Admittedly, works by Charles Haslewood Shannon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rose and Blanche (Les Marmitons) in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 53,775.00 (€ 78,509.80).
