Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Charles-Hossein Zenderoudi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2020. In the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction, the work Lam + Chakou sold for GBP 277,200.00 (€ 307,806.95) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles-Hossein Zenderoudi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tchaar-Bagh, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 1,609,000.00 (€ 1,033,530.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles-Hossein Zenderoudi erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East wurde die Arbeit Lam + Chakou für GBP 277.200,00 (€ 307.806,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles-Hossein Zenderoudi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tchaar-Bagh beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 1.609.000,00 (€ 1.033.530,32) versteigert wurde.
