In October 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Cottages in a winter forest by Charles Leaver. The result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,942.60) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Charles Leaver have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2011 the work Winter at Littleham, near Exmouth, Devon was auctioned for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,764.08).
