Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A summer view on Overschie by Charles Leickert was sold in the 19th Century & Modern Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2017. The price achieved of EUR 18,125.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Leickert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work At the 'koek en zopie' in a panoramic winter landscape in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 132,250.00.

Die Arbeit A summer view on Overschie von Charles Leickert wurde im Juni 2017 in der Auktion 19th Century & Modern Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 18.125,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Leickert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit At the 'koek en zopie' in a panoramic winter landscape im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 132.250,00.
