Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings Part II, which included the work A pope saint holding a chalice by Charles Mellin. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 30,240.00 (€ 26,971.10). Other works by Charles Mellin have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of EUR 40,000.00 in June 2015 for the work Tête De Sainte.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit A pope saint holding a chalice von Charles Mellin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 30.240,00 (€ 26.971,10) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Charles Mellin haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von EUR 40.000,00 im Juni 2015 für die Arbeit Tête De Sainte beobachtet.
