Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2005 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Pictures, which included the work The Snake Charmer by Charles Wilda. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,800.00 (€ 6,990.70), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Wilda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Egyptian Antiques Seller in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 300,000.00 (€ 347,978.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Snake Charmer von Charles Wilda zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 6.990,70) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Wilda erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Egyptian Antiques Seller im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 300.000,00 (€ 347.978,48).
