Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work JO Branding by Charlie Dye for USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,013.64). This price was achieved in the auction Visions of the West: American Paintings from the William I. Koch Collection at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charlie Dye - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work First One in Town, which sold at auction in February 2019 for USD 87,500.00 (€ 76,896.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit JO Branding von Charlie Dye für USD 27.500,00 (€ 25.013,64) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Visions of the West: American Paintings from the William I. Koch Collection bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Charlie Dye mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit First One in Town beobachtet, die im Februar 2019 für USD 87.500,00 (€ 76.896,04) versteigert wurde.
