Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of a young girl, bust-length, wearing a daisy chain in her hair by Charlotte Weeks for GBP 293.75 (€ 474.74). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Charlotte Weeks have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Die Sinnende. Junge Frau in historisierendem (Renaissance-) Kostüm am Burgfenster in May 2016 with an auction result of EUR 1,935.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2001 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait of a young girl, bust-length, wearing a daisy chain in her hair von Charlotte Weeks für GBP 293,75 (€ 474,74) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charlotte Weeks auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Die Sinnende. Junge Frau in historisierendem (Renaissance-) Kostüm am Burgfenster im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.935,00.
