Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Standard Script, 1915 by Chen Baochen was sold in the Fine Asian Works of Art auction at Bonhams in December last year. The price achieved of USD 6,120.00 (€ 5,720.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chen Baochen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 45,531.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Standard Script, 1915 von Chen Baochen wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Asian Works of Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.120,00 (€ 5.720,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Baochen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 45.531,65).
