Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I, which included the work Roaster by Chen Yihang. The price achieved of HKD 94,400.00 (€ 10,389.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Yihang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eagle, which sold at auction in May 2011 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 35,781.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Roaster von Chen Yihang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 94.400,00 (€ 10.389,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Yihang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eagle beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 35.781,86) versteigert wurde.
