Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Unknown by Toyohara Chikanobu for GBP 358.50 (€ 515.98). This price was achieved in the auction Asian Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Toyohara Chikanobu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scenes of beauties and farm life in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 5,670.00 (€ 6,763.12).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Unknown von Toyohara Chikanobu für GBP 358,50 (€ 515,98) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Asian Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Toyohara Chikanobu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scenes of beauties and farm life im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.670,00 (€ 6.763,12).
