This artwork by Galileo Chini achieved an unexpectedly high price at Il Ponte in October 2012. In the Important Paintings of the XIX Century | Asian Works of Art auction, the work Nella Bisca del Gran Cinese a Bangkok sold for EUR 24,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Galileo Chini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vecchio Cimitero Di Sam Phaya, which sold at auction in May 2012 for EUR 72,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Galileo Chini erzielte im Oktober 2012 bei Il Ponte einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Paintings of the XIX Century | Asian Works of Art wurde die Arbeit Nella Bisca del Gran Cinese a Bangkok für EUR 24.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Galileo Chini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vecchio Cimitero Di Sam Phaya beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für EUR 72.750,00 versteigert wurde.
