This artwork by Chris Huen Sin Kan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in November 2021. In the Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Bathing 2 sold for HKD 952,500.00 (€ 105,908.35) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chris Huen Sin Kan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work b. 1991, which sold at auction in April last year for HKD 1,890,000.00 (€ 228,514.76).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Chris Huen Sin Kan erzielte im November 2021 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Bathing 2 für HKD 952.500,00 (€ 105.908,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chris Huen Sin Kan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit b. 1991 beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für HKD 1.890.000,00 (€ 228.514,76) versteigert wurde.
