Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sans titre (Buildings) by Chris Johanson was sold in the Contemporary Art & Belgian Art Online auction at Bonhams in Brussels in October this year. The price achieved of EUR 1,024.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chris Johanson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 32,338.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sans titre (Buildings) von Chris Johanson wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Art & Belgian Art Online bei Bonhams in Brüssel versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.024,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chris Johanson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 32.338,91).
