The auction ended at the price of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,231.84), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Christian Georg Schütz the Younger have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dawn: a Rhenish river landscape with a stevedore loading a boat; and Dusk: a Rhenish river landscape with castle on a hill in April 2006 with an auction result of GBP 27,600.00 (€ 39,834.60).
