Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work General en Chef der Republique by Christian von Mechel for USD 179.25 (€ 132.41). This price was achieved in the auction NAPOLEONICA FROM THE COLLECTION OF DR. & MRS. PHILIP CORSO at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christian von Mechel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Stufenfolge von dem Frosche bis zum Apollo-Profile. in May 2015 with an auction result of EUR 3,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit General en Chef der Republique von Christian von Mechel für USD 179,25 (€ 132,41) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion NAPOLEONICA FROM THE COLLECTION OF DR. & MRS. PHILIP CORSO bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christian von Mechel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Stufenfolge von dem Frosche bis zum Apollo-Profile. im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.750,00.
