In December 2002 Christies in London held the auction OLD MASTER PICTURES AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Elegant company at table on a terrace by Christoffel Jacobsz. van der Laemen. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,925.00 (€ 19,840.52), 29% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Christoffel Jacobsz. van der Laemen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elegant company eating and drinking on a terrace, a landscape beyond in May 2002 with an auction result of EUR 83,650.00.

Im Dezember 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Elegant company at table on a terrace von Christoffel Jacobsz. van der Laemen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 12.925,00 (€ 19.840,52) und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christoffel Jacobsz. van der Laemen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elegant company eating and drinking on a terrace, a landscape beyond im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 83.650,00.
