Auction result misses estimated price range
In December this year a collector was able to acquire the work New York: Night by Christopher Richard Wynne Nevinson for GBP 8,960.00 (€ 10,321.58). This price was achieved in the auction The Age of SpeedThe Grosvenor School and the Avant-garde at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Richard Wynne Nevinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Dawn, 1914 in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 1,869,000.00 (€ 2,121,593.04).
