Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled Film Still Tray by Cindy Sherman was sold in the Masters of PhotographyFrom Edward S. Curtis to Berenice Abbott auction at Bonhams in February this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 828.75 (€ 781.69). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cindy Sherman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled #93 in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 3,861,000.00 (€ 2,830,645.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled Film Still Tray von Cindy Sherman wurde im Februar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Masters of PhotographyFrom Edward S. Curtis to Berenice Abbott bei Bonhams versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 828,75 (€ 781,69) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cindy Sherman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled #93 im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.861.000,00 (€ 2.830.645,16).
