Auction result well in line with expectations

The work An extensive river landscape with travellers by a road, a castle beyond by Claes Jacobsz. van der Heck was sold in the OLD MASTER PICTURES auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 16,730.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Claes Jacobsz. van der Heck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A view of Egmond Abbey, which sold at auction in November 2007 for EUR 66,250.00.

Die Arbeit An extensive river landscape with travellers by a road, a castle beyond von Claes Jacobsz. van der Heck wurde im November 2002 in der Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 16.730,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Claes Jacobsz. van der Heck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A view of Egmond Abbey beobachtet, die im November 2007 für EUR 66.250,00 versteigert wurde.
