Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flying Pierrots by Claude Harrison was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2012. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,713.19) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Claude Harrison - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Magic Skateboard, which sold at auction in June 2001 for GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,465.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Flying Pierrots von Claude Harrison kam im Mai 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.713,19) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Claude Harrison mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Magic Skateboard beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für GBP 3.290,00 (€ 5.465,34) versteigert wurde.
