Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by Claude Lalanne achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in November 2021. In the Collection Dorothée Lalanne | Claude & François-Xavier Lalanne auction, the work Service Sven sold for EUR 75,600.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claude Lalanne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Banc Crocodiles in November 2021 with an auction result of EUR 2,432,500.00.

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Claude Lalanne erzielte im November 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Collection Dorothée Lalanne | Claude & François-Xavier Lalanne wurde die Arbeit Service Sven für EUR 75.600,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Claude Lalanne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Banc Crocodiles im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.432.500,00.
