Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Spring In The Mournes, Co. Down by Colin Gibson was sold in the THE IRISH SALE auction at Christies in London in May 2005. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 720.00 (€ 1,062.95). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Colin Gibson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Samson & Goliath, East Belfast, which sold at auction in May 2005 for GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,657.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Spring In The Mournes, Co. Down von Colin Gibson wurde im Mai 2005 in der Auktion THE IRISH SALE bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 720,00 (€ 1.062,95) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Colin Gibson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Samson & Goliath, East Belfast beobachtet, die im Mai 2005 für GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.657,36) versteigert wurde.
