Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work La Cena by Cundo Bermúdez. It changed hands for a price of USD 187,500.00 (€ 153,764.15) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cundo Bermúdez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mujer peinando a su amante, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 403,200.00 (€ 375,733.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Cena von Cundo Bermúdez zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 187.500,00 (€ 153.764,15) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Cundo Bermúdez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mujer peinando a su amante beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 403.200,00 (€ 375.733,86) versteigert wurde.
