Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Curtius Duassut could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Sunday Sale auction, the work Sheep and lambs in a meadow changed hands for GBP 325.00 (€ 372.99) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Curtius Duassut - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rural cottage with chickens feeding, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 705.00 (€ 1,090.48).

In der Auktion The Sunday Sale wechselte die Arbeit Sheep and lambs in a meadow für GBP 325,00 (€ 372,99) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Curtius Duassut mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rural cottage with chickens feeding beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für GBP 705,00 (€ 1.090,48) versteigert wurde.
