In October 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script by Dai Xi. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 18,750.00 (€ 2,143.10), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dai Xi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ancient Pine in April 2018 with an auction result of HKD 2,250,000.00 (€ 237,410.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script von Dai Xi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 18.750,00 (€ 2.143,10) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dai Xi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ancient Pine im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.250.000,00 (€ 237.410,97).
